Bloomingdale Custom Community Gates

Bloomingdale Custom Community Gates

This custom community entrance in Bloomingdale was designed to complement many existing features within the community. They had previously had barrier arms in the entrance, and they wanted to add more security from people walking or riding bikes into the community.

Gates

  • The gates were all custom-built to fit between existing columns.
  • The tree logo for the gate was taken from the community entrance, digitized and cut out using CNC equipment in our shop.
  • All of the gates are welded aluminum.
  • Each gate has a powder coated black finish with a slight gloss.
  • All of the gates were designed with openers in mind, each one incorporated an operator bar for the gate opener to attach to. This runs through the entire length of the gate and helps prevent picket damage if someone decides to push or inadvertently strikes the gate.
  • All of the gates were designed to mimic the look of a double gate but use only one gate opener.
  • We added custom keypad controlled walk gates on either side of the entrance to control access to this Bloomingdale community.
  • The walk gates and fence were designed to match the new gates and fence exactly for a unique and consistent look.

Openers and entry

  • Each gate utilized one opener to save on cost.  Lowering the total cost for the openers by half.
  • Each opener has a battery backup to automatically open the gates in case of power failure.
  • They were able to use their existing remotes so they did not all have to buy new ones.
  • The phone entry unit is remotely programmed to allow the management company to update residents, codes and remotes without having to make a trip to the units location in Bloomingdale.
  • Walk gates for pedestrians were equipped with keypads and magnetic locks to prevent unauthorized access into the community.
