Gate Tech Inc. has been building and automating gates in Florida since 1996, with roots dating back to 1983. What began as a small, family-run fence company has grown into one of Central Florida’s most trusted names in gate fabrication and access control.

Our story began in 1983 when Leon Pelham founded Pelham Fence. Through steady growth and hands-on craftsmanship, the company expanded into custom gate fabrication. As automation became more common, Mike Pelham brought advanced welding expertise and a forward-thinking approach to system design.
In the early 1990s, frustrated with unreliable gate operators on the market, Mike launched Gate Tech with a clear goal — engineer a better system built for performance and Florida’s demanding climate. Although changing industry regulations halted production of that original operator, the engineering mindset behind it never left.
That focus on durability, compliance, and long-term reliability still defines Gate Tech today.

Gate Tech designs and fabricates gates specifically for automation from the start. Structural reinforcement, operator mounting, duty cycles, safety compliance, and system integration are considered during the design phase — not after problems appear.
All fabrication and powder coating are completed in-house, giving us full control over quality, finish, and longevity. Because we design, build, and automate our own gates, we understand what causes premature failure — and we eliminate it before it becomes your problem.
