Gate Tech was originally a project of Pelham Fence started in 1996 to produce a new generation of gate opener. Since then we have dedicated ourselves to manufacturing the highest quality gates, installation of gates and gate operators, as well as offering the best service of your existing gates, gate operators and entry systems.
The original Gate Tech slide gate opener was an ambitious project to make a next generation gate opener. Mike Pelham began by using lightweight and durable aluminum frames better suited for Florida’s corrosive environment. He created a custom control board that featured an adjustable slow start and stop to reduce noise and wear on the opener itself. Software adjustable over current protection and many adjustable parameters made this board unique in its field.
Unfortunately the industries most disruptive regulatory change occurred just as work on the board was completed. This required a complete overhaul of the design of the board and for that reason development was stopped. Many of the features of the original board have now been incorporated in other manufacturers equipment.
